Who Made Waves on the Red Carpet at the Grammys?
The Grammys are always a spectacle, and as usual, the red carpet didn’t disappoint. This year, there were standout hair and beauty looks that had us all talking. From icy blues to gothic glamour, here are the top 10 beauty moments we loved!
Cool Blues
Sabrina Carpenter wasn’t just winning awards at the Grammys; she also won big in the beauty department. Her icy blue JW Anderson gown was paired perfectly with tousled curls and a gorgeous flush of blush. But the real showstopper? Her nails, created by @nailsbyzola, were a shimmering rhinestone masterpiece using OPI’s Bare My Soul and Tin Man Can chrome powder. The combination of Sabrina's buttery blonde hair, the high blush, and the shimmering blue dress made her stand out for all the right reasons.
Ice, Ice Bey
When it comes to icy beauty, Beyoncé is the queen. Her creamy blonde hair was a beautiful complement to her light makeup and custom Schiaparelli dress (even though it had a wardrobe malfunction moment). Bey has been rocking cool blonde tones since promoting her country album Cowboy Carter, and we think her Grammy win will inspire the Beyhive to go for a cooler blonde, especially with her world tour on the horizon. That’s this month’s rent gone!
Paint It Black
On the other end of the spectrum, Lady Gaga leaned into gothic glamour with an all-black ensemble. She’s been experimenting with inky black tones lately, and the addition of her microfringe gave a bold twist to her classic style. Gaga’s flawless, super-glossy nails by Miho Nails completed the look. While this edgy look isn’t for everyone, it was a striking choice that highlighted her sharp bone structure.
A Classic Red Lip
Sometimes, all you need to elevate a look is a bold red lip, and Alicia Keys proved it at the Grammys. Wearing a stunning woven gold corset over a black dress, paired with an intricate gold headpiece, Alicia’s bold red lip tied the entire ensemble together perfectly. The red lip is always a classic—never out of style.
Old Hollywood Glamour
Zendaya’s Old Hollywood-inspired look at the Golden Globes was one for the books, and Cardi B’s version at the Grammys didn’t disappoint. Wearing an archival Roberto Cavalli gown, Cardi needed to bring the glam factor, and hairstylist Tokyo Stylez delivered with gorgeous, tumbling waves. Cardi’s nails, created by Coca Michelle, were a work of art too, featuring cut-out Russian stilettos in OPI shades. A vintage-inspired look that still feels modern. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift gave us another retro vibe with a heavy fringe that kept it soft and modern at the same time.
That's So Brat
Charli XCX isn’t one to be put in a box, and she proved it at the Grammys. Known for her signature jet-black waves, Charli's hair looked soft and beautiful, styled simply with a middle parting. Her cool-toned taupe eyeshadow and soft dusky pink lip complemented the look, making it feel romantic and chic. Charli’s custom Jean Paul Gaultier dress by Ludovic de Saint Sernin was the perfect pairing to her beauty look.
Doechii's Daring Looks
Grammy winner for Best Rap Album, Doechii, brought her signature tomboy style to the red carpet in four stunning Thom Brown outfits. Her makeup, done by Dee Carrion, was all about the skin prep, adding hydration to create a dewy, glowing base. A deep smokey grey eye and rosy lips with deep liner amplified her bold, beautiful look. Doechii’s effortlessly cool vibe was hard to miss.
Simply Beautiful
Kacey Musgraves kept things low-key on the red carpet with a white vest paired with a stunning Ralph Lauren beaded gold skirt, but it was her hair and makeup that stole the show. Known for her beautiful chocolate brown waves, Kacey wore them long and loose with a middle part and side-swept bangs. Her makeup featured warm tones—copper and bronze on the eyes, with a peachy lip and brown contour. The almond-shaped, creamy beige nails completed this simple yet stunning look.
