INDOLA has once again taken centre stage at London Fashion Week with their third season as the official hair partner for the Huishan Zhang show. This ongoing partnership for the Spring Summer 2025 collection highlights INDOLA's creative hair styling. It also strengthens its reputation as a top brand for professional haircare in high fashion.

For this year’s show, Huishan Zhang, explored the intricate themes of love and desire, weaving them into the fabric of the collection. Taking cues from Wong Kar-Wai's short film The Hand, featured in the 2004 anthology Eros, the collection pays homage to elegance and charm. The plot of The Hand centres on a young tailor who is fascinated by his mysterious customer. This story shows the deep artistry and strong emotions found in Zhang's work.


The Hair Concept: Glossy Gothic Chignons with INDOLA


To enhance this bold and refined idea, lead designer Johanna Cree Brown created hairstyles that matched the collection's style. The goal was clear: each model's hair should be styled away from their face. This would show balance and allow for a modern, fresh look.

Johanna took this challenge and turned it into a glossy, slightly gothic chignon, balancing elegance with a contemporary twist. “The key was to avoid the look of a traditional ballerina or bridal updo,” explained Johanna Cree Brown. “We wanted something cool, but still elegant. By using square sections and asymmetric placements, the hairstyle had a structured yet sleek finish, perfectly aligned with the essence of the collection.”
